Where to go when the choice is Dubai is getting out of hand?

Well...for starters you can visit the Ravers in Dubai website and blog and check out our calendar, and rest assured we do try to make the effort to recommend you the best parties in town that are hopefully a bit of the beaten track and will be enjoyed by both the old school and new school ravers alike.

It is safe to say that the winter season in Dubai has come in full swing in October, all the beach clubs will have finally re-opened by end of this weekend and are competing with each other trying to offer the best vibes and lining up both local and international DJs.

Outdoor (beach) clubs such as Surf Club, Be Beach and Bohemia or even Helipad have seriously stepped up their game and bringing line ups that are mouthwatering. Moreover they draw a steady flow of ravers that enjoy both the location and the specific music style played, making it truly great places to be on a weekly basis.

Tomorrowland presents Terra Solis has entered season 3 and they are booming this year. Full house every Saturday and for fans of EDM, this is really a dream location. The stage surrounded by the amphitheatre style build up and the incredible soundsystem in a location fairly far away from the city - also make it a fun trip for any old school raver wanting to feel like in the old days, travelling around to find the best raves of the weekend.

With Sacred Circles' weekly desert rave on Saturdays only at 15 minutes drive away from Terra Solis, your Sunday morning sunrise afters is sorted as well. It doesn't get much more old school than that !

Also Soul Beach at Jebel Ali is drawing in the crowds again, with Defected landing with a two-day festival on 9th and 10th of November - no doubt loads of us will flock together again at one of the best festival areas in Dubai.

For the psytrance fans, Blisstronic, Synthwaves, 3rd Eye Rising, Wolfstalks and Dubai Techno House have all kicked of their winter season either in the desert, indoors or at festival areas such as Blu Oasis near Dubai Park & Resorts or Desert Inn in RAK.

If that isn't enough for all of you, last weekend Ibiza closed and landed in Dubai, with the opening of O'Beach and Ushuaia behind us, Café del Mar in Abu Dhabi up and running and Playa Pacha at Five Lux kicking off in a couple of weeks, Ibiza resident DJs flying over to Dubai every year for winter season might be closer than we think. Last weekend's Armin Van Bueren's Pilars of Creation gig at the Ritz Carlton festival arena we might just as well classify as 'Ibiza style' too.

The fact that Boris Bresjcha played Hive Soho Garden last Saturday and this weekend Carl Cox will do the same is another proof that Dubai is slowly but certainly becoming the Ibiza of the Middle East. With the opening of Soho Beach on the World Islands featuring Keinemusik on 9th of November, all we need to do now is wait for the next big Ibiza venue to announce a club in Dubai - PLEASE let it be the old school Space, Amnesia or DC10!

So you might wonder if there is still room for smaller promotors to succeed in this avalanche of events, for sure there is because each one of them brings a unique style and blend of music that caters to a specific crowd - Coven, Sectacollective, Echo, Wolfsincage, Dubai Techno House and Ravers in Dubai bring different types of TECHNO, A Little Gathering, Ducksoup, Re-trip, Dancewerk, Moist Paper Party and yes - RID again, bring eclectic HOUSE music events to a dance floor near you, that is if they manage to find a venue and are willing to settle for a crowd of 50-200 people without bailing out!

And yes there are more...Signal and Unity bring you Drum n Bass, while Engine Room and Inner Trance give you (Hard) Trance and Hard House, the choice is overwhelming, which makes for your weekend no longer to be a case of FOMO, but rather a case of 'Did I make the right choice to come to THIS party tonight?'.

Should the above still not tickle your fancy - your fallback options should always be to head out to Meydan Grandstand, Iris is open every day of the week for (late) brunch and dancing afterwards, Gate2byIris runs Thursday through Saturday, Soho Garden is open Thursday through Sunday and recently Epik opened, which is making a name fast for being the best Arabic club in town !

And finally, we haven't even talked about the boat party season that has re-opened with both sunset and sunrise parties going on almost on a daily basis. Nor have we spoken about the hundreds of bars and clubs in Deira catering for each and every of the many nationalities and cultures that reside in Dubai!

So where to go this weekend then...Ravers in Dubai recommends:
